- Temple History This sacred temple is over 40 years old and is dedicated to Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy, who is worshipped here as a Swayambhu (self-manifested) deity. The temple is located about 3.4 km from Khammam Main Bus Stand. While traveling towards Hyderabad, the temple can be seen on the left side of the road, situated on a small hill. Around the year 1985, the Lord manifested Himself at this holy place and gave darshan to Sri Thota Chinna Venkata Reddy. Since 2013, all daily rituals such as nitya poojas, offerings of lamps and incense, naivedyam, the Lord’s Kalyanam, and annual festivals have been conducted regularly with great devotion. The construction of the temple began in 2007, the sanctum sanctorum was completed in 2014, and the surrounding temple परिसर was developed by the trustees. In 2018, the installation of the main deity’s idol and the Dwajasthambham (flagstaff) was completed with the support of devotees. Contributions towards temple development, offerings of silver and gold items, and monetary donations can be made by contacting the temple Chairman Sri Thota Sanjeeva Reddy or his brother Sri Thota Pedda Venkata Reddy. The presiding deity of the temple is Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy, and the temple complex also includes shrines of Lord Hanuman, Naga Devatha, and Nagula Putta. The temple is well known for its Dhanurmasam celebrations, which are observed with great devotion every year.
