- Temple History This is one of the oldest and first Shirdi Saibaba Temple in Nellore . This is very close to Gandhi Statue and around 1.5 Kms from RTC bus stand. The mandir was inaugurated and the statue of Sri Sai Baba was installed on 22 October 1958. The shrine measures 20 ft × 35 ft, and the marble idol of Baba in the sanctum is 3 feet 2 inches tall. At the top prakaaram, another statue of Baba is installed. Near the entrance, devotees will find a book stall and a puja articles shop. The mandir foundation stone was laid earlier on 14 October 1956, making this one of the earliest Sai Baba temples in Nellore district. On Vijayadasami in 1958, the idol was brought from Jaipur and installed in the sanctum. The statue depicts Baba at about 40 years of age, and devotees regard the temple as a shared spiritual home. The temple underwent renovation in 1992, adding modern facilities. A spacious Parayana Hall, Satsang Hall, and Dhyana Mandiram (meditation hall) were constructed on two floors. On the second floor, a library houses rare and valuable books on Baba’s life. There is also a dedicated room for the palanquin.
