- Temple History Sri Nimishamba Devi Temple is situated in Pentareddy Colony, Boduppal, Hyderabad, and is dedicated to Goddess Nimishamba, who is revered as a divine manifestation of Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva. The name Nimishamba is derived from the word Nimisha, meaning "a minute," reflecting the popular belief that the Goddess blesses sincere devotees and helps resolve their difficulties within a very short time. She is also worshipped as the Kula Devata (family deity) by many Kshatriya families. The temple was established in 2002 and has gradually become an important spiritual destination for devotees from Hyderabad and nearby regions. People visit the temple seeking the Goddess's blessings for success in education, employment, business, health, marriage, and children. Many devotees believe that prayers offered with unwavering faith are answered quickly. The temple complex houses several other shrines dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman, Sri Sai Baba, and Lord Dattatreya, allowing devotees to worship multiple deities during a single visit. The idol of Goddess Nimishamba is beautifully crafted with four arms. She holds a Trishula (trident) in one hand and a Damaru (sacred drum) in another, symbolizing divine power and protection. In the temple of Adhiparashakti Nimishamba Devi, the goddess of the universe, one should offer one's mind to the goddess and make one's wish (16) circumambulations. After one's wish is fulfilled, one should offer one's mind to the goddess with 108 circumambulations, and one should fill one's lap with rice (odibiyyam). If one prays to her as a Kalpavalli who fulfills desires in a minute, she will be merciful, and if one asks for it, she will grant one's wish. Therefore, one can pray to the goddess and achieve success in all one's endeavors.
