- Temple History The very familiar Lord Vinayaka temple in canal road is famous for undrallu pooja. The idol of Lord Vigneshwara, which is located in the Vinayaka temple on Canal Road, the main road leading to Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada, is said to be from the 10th century AD. It is said that this idol was found 60 years ago in the Krishna river canal next to the present temple. Lord Vigneshwara is seen here in the form of a huge idol. Devotees in Vijayawada city consider this to be the main Vigneshwara temple. Devotees who go to Durga temple via Kaleshwara Rao Market must visit the Lord here. Every day, a large number of devotees come and seek the blessings of the Lord. On Vinakachavithi, a large number of devotees are seen in queues from early morning. Especially devotees who have bought new vehicles come here and perform their first puja to the Lord. On Wednesday, the Undrallu and Kudumulu Prasadam is special here. If the devotees deposit as much money as they want at the temple, the Undralls will make as many kilos of prasadam as they want and after reporting it to the Lord, they will offer it as prasadam.
