The temple houses the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Shiva, bearing the name of Yerakeswara. It is open from morning and almost till night, so pilgrims can visit it any time. It is some 5 kms on a road branching out from NH 65 but can easily be found out. The road is easy enough to drive
