- Temple History Sitarama Temple is a temple located in Gambhiraopet village, Gambhiraopet mandal, Rajanna Sircilla district, Telangana state. Built about 680 years ago during the Kakatiya period, the Akhandajyoti in this temple is continuously lit. Usually, a lamp is bought after the consecration.. but here it is continuously lit. Devotees here say that worship was performed in this temple even during the Nizam's rule. The Kakatiyas considered some villages in their kingdom as administrative areas and made Gambhiraopet their main center. This temple was built by Prataparudra, the last of the Kakatiya kings, in 1333 AD. Venkatarao Desai, who was the governor of Lingannapeta princely state during the Nizam's rule, worked for the development of this temple. The Kalyanamantap, built with 16 pillars, is still standing. Water is brought for all the festivals held in the temple from the Venkatadri tank built in the name of the ruler at some distance from the temple. The bell inside the temple has the number 1333. Based on this number, it can be said that this temple dates back to the Kakatiya period. There is a Nanda Deepam in this temple. This Nanda Deepam, which was installed before the original idols were installed, has been burning since then. Every year, Brahmotsavams are held in this temple. As part of these festivals, the god is taken on a chariot. Sri Rama Navami is celebrated in this temple for 9 days with great pomp. సీతారామ దేవాలయం తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం, రాజన్న సిరిసిల్ల జిల్లా, గంభీరావుపేట్ మండలం, గంభీరావుపేట్ గ్రామంలో ఉన్న దేవాలయం. సుమారు 680 సంవత్సరాల క్రితం కాకతీయుల కాలంలో నిర్మించబడిన ఈ దేవాలయంలోని అఖండజ్యోతి నిరంతరాయంగా వెలుగుతూ ఉంది.సాధారణంగా, ప్రతిష్ఠ తర్వాత దీపం కొంటారు.. కానీ ఇక్కడ అది నిరంతరం వెలుగుతూనే ఉంటుంది. నిజాం పాలనలో కూడా ఈ ఆలయంలో పూజలు జరిగాయని ఇక్కడి భక్తులు చెబుతారు. కాకతీయులు తమ రాజ్యంలోని కొన్ని గ్రామాలను పాలన ప్రాంతాలుగా పరిగణించి, గంభీరావుపేటను ప్రధాన కేంద్రంగా మార్చుకున్నారు. క్రీస్తుశకం 1333లో కాకతీయ రాజులలో చివరివాడైన ప్రతాపరుద్రుడు ఈ ఆలయాన్ని నిర్మించాడు. నిజాం పాలనలో లింగన్నపేట సంస్థానానికి సంస్థానాధీశుడిగా ఉన్న వేంకటరావు దేశాయి ఈ ఆలయ అభివృద్దికి కృషి చేశాడు. 16 స్తంభాలతో నిర్మించిన కల్యాణమంటపం ఇప్పటికి నిలిచివుంది. దేవాలయానికి కొంత దూరంలో సంస్థానాధీశుడి పేరుమీద నిర్మించిన వెంకటాద్రి చెరువునుంచి ఆలయంలో జరిగే అన్ని ఉత్సవాలకి నీటిని తెస్తారు. ఆలయంలోపల ఉన్న గంటపై 1333 అనే సంఖ్య ఉంది. ఈ సంఖ్యను బట్టి ఈ ఆలయం కాకతీయుల కాలం నాటిదని చెప్పవచ్చు. ఈ ఆలయంలో ఒక నందాదీపం ఉంది. మూల విగ్రహాల ప్రతిష్ఠకు ముందే ప్రతిష్ఠించబడిన ఈ నందాదీపం నాటినుంచి నేటివరకు వెలుగుతూనే ఉంది. ప్రతి సంవత్సరం ఈ ఆలయంలో బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు జరుగుతాయి. ఈ ఉత్సవాల్లో భాగంగా దేవుడిని రథంపై ఊరేగిస్తారు.శ్రీరామ నవమిని ఈ ఆలయంలో 9 రోజుల పాటు చాలా బాగా జరుపుకున్నారు.
