- Temple History Paritala Hanuman Temple (Paritala Anjaneya Swami Temple) is a renowned shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman, located in Paritala village of Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. Situated along the NH-65 highway, about 30 km from Vijayawada, the temple is famous for its awe-inspiring Hanuman statue that attracts devotees and tourists from across the country. The temple was built to honour Veera Abhaya Anjaneya Swami, the embodiment of strength, devotion, courage, and divine protection. The massive Hanuman statue was installed and opened to the public in 2003, and has since become one of the most iconic landmarks in Andhra Pradesh. Standing in a heroic and blessing posture, holding the gada, the statue represents the form of Veera Abhaya Anjaneya Hanuman Swami. It is among the tallest Hanuman statues in the world and one of the tallest statues in India. At the base of the statue, there is a dedicated Hanuman Mandir (garbhagruha) where daily poojas, abhishekams, and archana are performed. The temple premises are spacious and well-maintained, featuring greenery, walking paths, and ample parking facilities.
